Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct to be followed aby anyone attending our classes:

  1. Treat others with respect
  2. Train hard and to the best of your abilities
  3. Listen to the instructors and perform the actions they instruct
  4. Ask if you don’t know
  5. Don’t be afraid to make a mistake. Try
  6. Help other students in their learning
  7. Progression does not make you better than others, but more skilled. Recognise ego
  8. Sparring is not competition. You spar to practice techniques and principles and to help your opponent with theirs.
  9. The sword and the dagger are not bludgeoning weapons. Treat ‘blunts’ as if they were sharp
  10. Code of Conduct applies to the equipment as well as to people
  11. Leave your politics at the door
  12. Practice at home or wherever you can
  13. If you have a concern or problem, talk to an instructor
  14. Have fun. This is a martial art and contact sport and we are together to study seriously, but we are also together to enjoy ourselves.
